Timberwolves Host Draft Prospects Wednesday At Target Center
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – With the NBA Draft about two weeks away, the Minnesota Timberwolves are hosting workouts this week for potential draft picks at Target Center.
There will be two sessions of workouts for players the Timberwolves are considering to take in the NBA Draft, which is June 27. The workouts are being held at the Lifetime Fitness Training Center in downtown Minneapolis, and at least a few of the names should be familiar to local basketball enthusiasts.
Roseville standout Mike Muscala, who played collegiately as a center at Bucknell, will be one of six players in the first session Wednesday at 2 p.m. Other athletes working out will be Pittsburgh post player Steve Adams, N.C. State guard Lorenzo Brown, UCLA guard Larry Drew III, Akron center Zeke Marshall and French star Rudy Gobert.
In the second session starting at 3:45 p.m., Indiana center Cody Zeller will work out by himself.
The Timberwolves currently hold the No. 9 pick and No. 26 pick in the first round of the NBA Draft.
