Three Hungry Eaglets Make Their Debut On The DNR's EagleCam

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The three eaglets in the DNR's EagleCam nest have hatched from their eggs.

On Tuesday, the eaglets could be seen mouthing for food in their snowy nest. Much of the time, however, the little ones were kept hidden and warm under the feathers of their parents.

Three eggs were laid in the middle of January, and they began to hatch last week. The eaglets appear to have emerged fully from their eggs over the weekend.

But their journey isn't over yet.

They will need to keep warm as Wednesday's temperatures threaten to dip below zero. After that, spring-like temperatures are on the way.
