Thousands Participate In Bike For MS Event
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- While many people probably got outside in the sun on Sunday for a short bike ride, thousands of bicyclists went 150 miles from Duluth to the Twin Cities.
The Bike for MS ride raises money for research into multiple sclerosis. Bikers started their journey yesterday near Duluth.
Saturday night, they stopped in Hinckley for a halfway celebration. The bikers finished off their journey in White Bear Lake on Sunday.
"This is a terrible disease and people have been gathering money for conquering the disease for many years, and it's a pretty small thing to help," Neil Grehlinger of Roseau said. "That's the key thing, to help other people, to be aware and donate money."
This year, Bike for MS is expected to raise more than $3 million.
