Thousands Attend St. Paul Planned Parenthood Protest
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Huge crowds turned up outside Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide Saturday, including a crowd of thousands in St. Paul.
They are taking part in a protest aimed at cutting off federal funding for the health-care organization.
Activists say it is a response to secretly-taped videos that show Planned Parenthood officials discussing the collection of fetal organs for research.
They say the videos show that Planned Parenthood illegally sells fetal tissue for profit.
Planned Parenthood says the videos have been edited to bolster false claims.
