Teen Cited For Careless Driving In Crash With School Bus
CHASKA, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating after a car caused a three-vehicle crash involving a school bus Wednesday morning in Chaska, according to police.
Chaska Police responded to the crash at about 7:39 a.m. near the intersection of Clover Field Drive and Clover Field Boulevard. Authorities say a bus from Positive Connections was stopped facing eastbound with its stop arm out and red lights flashing with students aboard when a Buick Century with two juveniles inside started a chain-reaction accident.
The Buick Century hit a Ford Focus, which had three teenagers inside, causing the Ford Focus to rear-end the school bus, according to police.
Authorities say nobody on the bus was hurt, but a teenager in the Ford Focus was sent to a hospital for a minor head injury. Police said a juvenile male driver of the Buick Century was cited at the scene for careless driving.
