TCF Stadium To Host Minn. All-Star Football Game
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota Football Coaches Association says the 38th annual Minnesota High School All-Star Football Game will be played at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
The game is set for Saturday, June 25, at 7 p.m.
The move means the all-star game will return to the University of Minnesota campus for the first time since 1975.
The university was the original home of the all-star game, with games played at Memorial Stadium in 1945, 1946, 1974 and 1975.
A new format also was announced for the 2011 all-star game, with North, including north Metro, vs. South, including south Metro.
The previous format of Metro vs. Outstate was played for 31 years, with Metro winning the series 16-15.
The all-star game originally was played in a North-South format.
