TCF Bank Stadium Hosting High School Hockey Faceoff
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – In anticipation of the Outdoor Hockey City Classic, officials announced Tuesday that eight ranked teams will be involved in a Jan. 11 event at TCF Bank Stadium.
The five-game event is called the High School Hockey Faceoff and will feature some of the top boys and girls high school hockey teams in the state. The featured girls contest of the event is No. 9 Eden Prairie against No. 1-ranked Minnetonka. The top boys match-up is No. 4-ranked Benilde-St. Margaret's against Minnetonka.
The other contests, all boys games, include Lakeville South against Bloomington Jefferson, White Bear Lake against Cretin-Derham Hall and Eagan against Eastview. Eight of the 10 teams in the event are ranked. The first game is at 10 a.m., with the last game starting around 8 p.m.
On Jan. 17, the University of Minnesota will host an outdoor hockey game against Ohio State for the Hockey City Classic. That same day, the Gophers women's hockey team will face Minnesota State, Mankato at TCF Bank Stadium.

5:30 p.m. CT – No. 12 White Bear Lake vs. Cretin-Derham Hall (Boys)
8 p.m. CT – No. 15 Eagan vs. No. 18 Eastview (Boys)
