'Taste Of Minnesota' Drawing In Crowds At New Location
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The "Taste of Minnesota" is underway in a new location.
Organizers say it's been so popular, they're running out of food and had to call in for more!
The Fourth of July festival moved from Harriet Island in St. Paul, Minn. to the Carver County Fairgrounds in Waconia, Minn. because of flooding.
This is the first time the festival has been held in three years.
Organizers say they don't want to guess on numbers, but so far the crowds have been strong.
Many people there told WCCO they liked the change of location and all the food and music the weekend offers.
"I like it. There's a lot of good people watching, it's a beautiful day out," MJ Weiss, of Shakopee, said.
"We really like it out here. It's close to where we live and the weather is just awesome. Beautiful," Jay Hanson, of Waconia, said.
WCCO only heard one small complaint, there's not a lot of shade. So bring a hat and sunscreen if you plan on going.
"The Taste" continues through Sunday, July 6.
Organizers do plan on returning to Harriet Island next year.
