Target Field Store Stocking More Items Aimed At Women
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Long before the game started, before Target Field gates even opened, Twins fan Shelley Neibaur was in the Twins Majestic Clubhouse Store shopping for new clothes.
She dropped $130 on a jacket and a shirt, which read, "Chicks Dig Diamonds."
"I think is kind of my new mantra 'cause chicks do dig diamonds," said Neibaur. "So, this is kind of my new shirt for the year, and I love all the new girl stuff."
According to Nikki Collier, assistant retail manager, there's a lot more women's gear to love.
"We had quite a selection last year, but it just continues to grow -- more styles, more sizes, small sizes and larger sizes," she said. "Last year was kind of the first year we offered a decent amount of styles, and now we're just continuing to add onto that."
The store offers Twins-themed jewelry, too.
Collier says gear made especially for women make money and make sense.
"Their cuts, even the style, is a little more feminine, but the cuts, I would say, are the key piece," said Collier. "It's not so boxy, more flattering to a woman's figure."
"Don't I look better?" said Neibaur to her husband.
"Absolutely," said Brian Neibaur. "Absolutely."
For Neibaur and other female Twins fans, the shopping options are much better than they used to be.
"We always had to buy the guy stuff, and it was three sizes too big," said Shelley. "I love all the new stuff out here absolutely."
