Target Field Named Greenest Ballpark In America
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- This Earth Day, we're learning that the greenest ball park in America is right here in Minnesota.
Target Field won the award from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Through a partnership with Eco-Products, the vast majority of concessions packaging is now compostable. The field captures nearly 8 billion gallons of rainwater, which is purified and reused.
Target Field also donates more than 10 tons of food to local charities.
