Talking Vikings' Training Camp On Rosen's Sports Sunday
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It's now been more than a full week for the Minnesota Vikings at training camp in Mankato. The team got its first real test of competition with a passing scrimmage Saturday night at Blakeslee Stadium.
The Vikings will have their first preseason game on Friday at the Metrodome as they host the Houston Texans.
It's game week, so practices this week in Mankato will likely get more intense by the day. Plenty of story lines are emerging, and Mark Rosen covered them all in a Sunday night interview with Ben Goessling, the Vikings beat reporter for the Pioneer Press.
Among the topics were Christian Ponder's progression at quarterback, Desmond Bishop starting camp at outside linebacker and Adrian Peterson's quest for the NFL single-season rushing record.
Watch Rosen's interview for a complete update on training camp.
