Suspect In Building Threats Held Without Bond
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Minnesota man accused of threatening the federal courthouse and city police department in North Dakota's largest city has been ordered held without bond until a detention hearing later this week.
KFGO radio reports that 43-year-old Brian Jacobson of Battle Lake, Minn., appeared in court Monday in Fargo after being arrested over the weekend.
Court documents allege that Jacobson told authorities he was "immune from all law," tried to extort $50 million from the U.S. Marshals Service and also threatened to kidnap politicians including U.S. Sen. John Hoeven.
