Suspect Charged In Walgreens Robberies
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 25-year-old man suspected of robbing three Walgreens in the metro area this month has been charged.
Vincent Mark Smith has been charged with simple robbery and aggravated robbery for allegedly robbing two different Minneapolis Walgreens on Nov. 18 and Nov. 23. Charges were filed for the third robbery in Hopkins, as well.
According to the charges, Smith allegedly robbed a Walgreens on the 3200 hundred block of Lake Street in Minneapolis on Nov. 18. Two days later, on Nov. 20, he allegedly struck again in Hopkins at a Walgreens located on the 500 block of Blake Road North. Then on Nov. 23, he robbed a Walgreen's on the 2400 block of Hennepin Avenue South.
All of these robberies occurred at or before 9 a.m. Authorities said Smith flashed a gun at Walgreens employees.
He is currently in custody at the Hennepin County jail.
