Suspect Arrested In Hastings Hotel Armed Robbery
HASTINGS, Minn. (WCCO) -- A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that took place on Thursday at a Hastings hotel.
William Joseph Boldt, 38, was arrested just after midnight on Sunday in St. Paul.
According to Hastings Police, shortly before 2 a.m. on Thursday, two men armed with handguns entered the AmericInn Hotel in Hastings. The men robbed the hotel of a small amount of money and duct taped the night clerk before fleeing.
Police said the clerk was able to free herself to call 911.
Boldt is being held in the Dakota County Jail pending formal charges of aggravated robbery. He was also wanted by the Minnesota Department of Corrections as a fugitive from supervised released.
Hastings Police said two other persons of interest have been identified and are being sought for questioning.
