Hundreds Celebrate Mother's Day At Race For The Cure
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Hundreds of people started their Mother's Day by supporting breast cancer research.
The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure started at Southdale Center in Edina Sunday morning. Breast cancer survivors, their friends and families walked a 5K or 1K around Lake Cornelia.
Organizers say it raises money and awareness, celebrates cancer survivorship and honors those who died from disease. This was the 25th year for the event.
