Surdyk's Flights To Close MSP Terminal 1 Location
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – As new restaurants are claiming spots in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport's new expansion, others are leaving. Surdyk's Flights among them.
According to Molly Surdyk, Surdyk's Flights will be leaving its Terminal 1 spot at the end of 2016.
Surdyk said the airport wanted the restaurant to move to a new, larger space located across the hall from its current location.
Surdyk's put together a proposal, submitted it to the MAC, but was denied. Airport officials chose another business. The restaurant was then notified the lease would not be renewed in August.
Surdyk sad the family is very disappointed that they will not be returning to the Terminal 1 mall location after 2016.
According to it's website, "Surdyk's Flights was awarded 1st place in the category of Best New Food and Beverage concept, recognizing innovative and outstanding airport concessions by the Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) in December 2011."
It has been in Terminal 1 since 2010.
