Study: People With Similar College Majors Are More Attracted To Each Other
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- When you pick your college major, is it also possible that you are picking your potential mate? Not exactly, but the odds are higher, according to a recent study.
Researchers at the University of Minnesota studied the Census records of more than 76 million married couples who both have bachelor's degrees. They found that people with similar college majors are more likely to tie the knot.
Music majors are 22 more times likely to marry fellow musicians. Law majors are 33 times more likely to marry one another.
At the opposite end, business majors are only 1.7 times more likely to marry fellow business majors.
