Street Workers Rescue 5 Ducklings From Brooklyn Park Drain
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Street workers in Brooklyn Park saved five ducklings Tuesday after they fell into a storm drain, city officials said.
Mary Tan, the city's communication coordinator, said workers rescued the ducklings from a culvert on Wight Bay Drive around 4 p.m.
Neighbors initially called authorities after they saw the mother duck waddling about the culvert, Tan said.
Pictures show the ducklings were placed into a plastic bin. They do not appear to be injured.
"They are with their mother now," Tan said. "They all swam away."
