Stevie Wonder Coming To Target Center
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Isn't it lovely? Isn't it wonderful? For the first time in longer than most people can remember, legendary performer Stevie Wonder will be performing in the Twin Cities.
The superstar of Motown's heyday announced Thursday that he planned to extend his current tour -- which began at Madison Square Garden and reached as close as Chicago last November -- to include another batch of cities, including Minneapolis.
Wonder will be performing at Target Center on March 29.
In the span of four years, Wonder memorably won the Album of the Year Grammy Award three times -- for his LPs Innervisions, Fulfillingness' First Finale, and Songs in the Key of Life, the last of which he has centered his whole concert setlist around. In fact, he plays every song from the blockbuster 1976 hit, from start to finish.
Rolling Stone raved about the concert last year, calling it "2014's greatest testament to the limitless potential of American music itself." He will be honored with a special, star-studded tribute at this years Grammy Awards.
Tickets for the Minneapolis show will go on sale on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m.
