Vikings Receiver Stefon Diggs: 'I'm Ready'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Stefon Diggs is part of the receiver-by-committee the Minnesota Vikings have assembled.
But it was Diggs that emerged from the pack in week one, making a statement.
"It was good to get out there and compete at a high level with your guys," Diggs said. "Defense showed up, they played huge for us."
His rookie season proved he had some ability, and he has impressed some in the organization as a leader along the way.
"That's what you want … you work hard, you want your guys to, you know, work the same way you work, and it all helps the team," Diggs said. "I want to lead by example."
He is finding his way, impressing even his newest teammate.
"He's really explosive," quarterback Sam Bradford said. "You know, not only does he have good speed, he's got good quickness. You know, and he went up and made some really nice contested catches the other day, which was nice to see from him."
It is all about making improvements this week as they prepare to face the Green Bay Packers in their brand-new stadium.
"I love the stadium, it's beautiful," Diggs said. "That's what you want: nice venue, big game. I'm ready."
Kickoff is Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
