State Patrol: Bicyclist Gary Michel Killed By Truck In Pine Springs
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol says bicyclist Gary Bernard Michel was killed Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a pickup truck in Pine Springs.
The deadly crash happened on Highway 36 at Hilton Trail at 12:35 p.m. Investigators say both Michel, 67, and driver Christopher Kent Brunsoman, 51, were travelling westbound on the highway when Michel crossed over an exit ramp in front of Brunsoman's truck.
Michel was from St. Paul, and Brunsoman is from Mahtomedi.
The state patrol says condition were dry on Hwy. 36 at the time of the accident.
