State Patrol: 13 Ejected In Nobles County After Van Rollover
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said 13 passengers were ejected and three had to be airlifted to a local hospital after a transport van slid off an icy freeway in southwestern Minnesota Thursday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the accident happened at about 1:40 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 90 near Worthington in Nobles County. Patrol spokesman Lieutenant Eric Roeske said while the investigation is still underway, it doesn't appear the passengers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Roeske said two others were taken by ambulance to the hospital. The driver, a 29-year-old man from Sioux Falls, S.D., also was injured. There is no word on the others' conditions.
Worthington Police and the Noble County Sheriff's Office are investigating the accident.
