St. Thomas' Coach Caruso Dishes On Winning 1st Playoff Game
ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) - Glenn Caruso is not only happy about his team's success, but also about their ability to score late in the second quarter.

"In my belief there are four major predictors of success in football, and scoring before the half is one of those," Caruso said.
It is the seventh time the team has scored with less than two minutes left in the second quarter.
"And it's just huge, not just for the scoring but for momentum - then you get the ball coming out of the second half," he said.
The team beat St. Norbert College 48 to 17 on Saturday.
The Tommies are coming off their third consecutive undefeated season. Caruso said his team is not fancy, but always finds a way to get the job done.
"If you give us enough time, and you allow us to work through our mistakes and figure out what the other side of the ball is going to do, I think we can figure them out and in a reasonable manner. And that's why you see a lot of scores before the half," he said.
The team is heading into a holiday week and Week 2 of the playoffs. Caruso said he doesn't plan to change up the game plan much.
"We do the same exact thing, except for after practice on Thursday we eat a big Thanksgiving dinner together," he said.
The team takes on Elmhurst of Illinois next Saturday at O'Shaughnessy Stadium.
