St. Paul Woman Wins San Francisco Double Marathon
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Twenty-five thousand runners have swarmed across the foggy Golden Gate Bridge in the 38th running of the San Francisco Marathon.
Twenty-nine-year-old Chris Mocko, a city resident, won the men's race Sunday with a time of two hours, 26 minutes and 22 seconds.
The women's winner was 30-year-old Anna Bretan of Berkeley, with a time of 2:49:41.
Besides the 2.62-mile marathon, there was a double marathon.
The men's winner in the 52.4-mile contest was fifty-one-year-old Graham Hedger of London. The women's victor was 31-year-old Whitney Meredith of St. Paul, Minnesota.
