Police: Shooter Calls 911 After Bar Argument Leads To Killing
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – St. Paul police say an argument in a bar Wednesday night led to a fatal shooting, and the man who pulled the trigger called 911.
The St. Paul Police Department says the shooting happened around 11 p.m., outside Born's Bar, in the city's South of Maryland neighborhood.
When officers responded to the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency crews brought him to Regions Hospital, where he later died.
His name has yet to be released.
Police say the man who shot him called 911. They say the shooter knew the victim and had an argument with him inside the bar.
The suspect was detained by police and questioned. Police say the suspect is Dewayne Anthony Ivory, who has been arrested in connection to the shooting.
The shooting remains under investigation.
