St. Paul Police Investigate Report Of Kidnapping

ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- St. Paul Police are asking for help finding a man who allegedly kidnapped a woman for a short time on Sunday morning.

According to police, a woman said she was waiting at a bus stop at East 7th Street and Flandrau Street around 7 a.m. when a man in an SUV got out, grabbed her, pulled her into the SUV and drove away.

The woman told police the man drove around while holding her. She said the man exposed himself and told the woman he was going to sexually assault her.

The woman said after about 45 minutes she was able to jump out of the moving SUV and then the man sped away.

The man was driving a gray, mid-sized SUV. He is described as an Asian man in his mid-20s, between 5 feet, 5 inches and 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a very thin build. She told police he was wearing a white sweatshirt, black jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information about the identity of the man or the incident is asked to call St. Paul Police at 651-291-1111 or call 911.

Police said they do not believe the incident is related to other recently reported luring events in St. Paul
