St. Paul Pastor Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison For Affair With 16-Year-Old
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A West St. Paul pastor was sentenced to five years in prison for having an affair with his 16-year-old parishioner, and even leaving the state with the juvenile to flee to Mexico.
Gustaro Resendiz Talabera was sentenced Tuesday for one felony count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The charges said Talabera had left his wife with $3,000 in cash and was taking the 16-year-old from his church, who he said might have been pregnant, to Mexico.
Cell phone tracking located Talabera in Joliet, Ill., and the girl was taken into protective custody.
