St. Paul Man Sentenced To 30 Years For Production Of Child Pornography
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A St. Paul, Minn. man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for producing child pornography, according to the United States Attorney's Office.
Douglas Luke Robinette, 27, was sentenced for 360 months in federal prison on July 28, after he pleaded guilty to one count of Production of Child Pornography in November 2013.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, court documents stated Robinette was convicted in November 2010 of a first-degree criminal sexual conduct in Kanabec County and was sentenced to serve 144 months in state prison.
After the conviction, the U.S. Attorney's Office investigated and prosecuted Robinette on production charges.
Officials said, Robinette got a developmentally disabled boy to engage in sexually explicit conduct with him. He then recorded it on his cell phone.
Robinette said he had engaged in multiple acts with this boy and had taken pictures of the incidents. He also admitted to distributing the images he had taken.
Robinette faces 30 years in federal prison and supervised release for life.
