St. Paul Man Gets 24 Years In Prison For Sex Trafficking Minors

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 26-year-old St. Paul man was sentenced Tuesday to more than 24 years in prison for recruiting and trafficking teenage girls in Minnesota.

Dontre D'Sean McHenry pleaded guilty in the case back on Oct. 17, 2014, and was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court.

McHenry admitted that from January 2013 to March of 2014, he recruited at least three girls under the age of 18 and trafficked them as prostitutes for his own profit. He advertised the girls on backpage.com an in online chat rooms. He also admitted to making a sexually explicit video of a 15-year-old girl.

According to court documents, McHenry would tell the girls how to talk to men on chat lines, rates for various sexual acts and setting up meetings. He told the victims to give him all the money they were paid for their acts.

Authorities executed a search warrant at a Roseville motel on March 13, 2014, and found a handwritten book called "Pimpology: The 48 Laws of the Game." There were also handwritten notes that referenced trafficking and prostitution. Authorities found cell phones that had text message conversations from customers arranging meetings with the victims.
