St. Cloud Students Earn Their Way To We Day
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) -- A group of students St. Cloud Technical High School first attended We Day in Winnipeg in 2012.
They started earning their way to We Day in 2011 after meeting co-founder Craig Kielburger at the 2011 Civic Engagement Leadership Conference.
After going to We Day in Winnipeg, the students returned to Minnesota and started raising money for Free the Children's We Scare Hunger campaign.
The group started calling itself the Social Justice Club, and went on to raise over 2,600 pounds of food for their local food shelf.
The students spoke with WCCO about their We Day experience and how they've been earning their way to We Day Minnesota. You can see their interview with Edward Moody in the video above.
