St. Cloud Police: Multiple Related Robberies In 1 Night
ST. CLOUD (WCCO) -- Police are warning residents and students to be vigilant of their surrounding after multiple related robberies – at least one armed – occurred in St. Cloud Tuesday night.
At 11:29 p.m., police officers were approached by a 22-year-old male victim, who said he had just been robbed in the 300 block of 8th Avenue South. The victim told police he had earlier parked his vehicle, gotten out and was approached by two men from different directions. He said the two assaulted him, threatened him with a black handgun and was robbed of his personal property.
Police say the suspects fled the area eastbound but were unable to be located when officers checked the area.
The suspects are described as white or Hispanic men with Hispanic accents, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6 and weighing approximately 150 pounds. They were reportedly wearing black hooded sweatshirts, black stocking caps and light-colored blue jeans.
The armed robbery is believed to be related to two other robberies occurring on the same evening. Police have not said if they involved a handgun.
Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to contact the St. Cloud Police Department at 1-320-251-1200 or Crimestoppers at 1-320-255-1301.
