St. Cloud Man Admits To Killing His Mom
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 40-year-old St. Cloud man admitted in court Friday to killing his mother last year, the Stearns County Attorney's Office said.
Chad Matthew Pulju pleaded guilty to intentional murder in the second degree for his mother's Aug. 23, 2012, stabbing death.
On that day, police said they found Pulju's mother covered in blood but alive in a home on Atwood Drive. Standing behind her was her son, with blood on his shirt.
Police also found a blood-covered folding knife under Pulju's left leg.
Crews brought Pulju's mother to the St. Cloud Hospital, where she died. An autopsy showed she had multiple stab wounds on her face and neck.
Pulju is currently in the Stearns County Jail. A sentencing date has yet to be set.
