St. Cloud Couple Welcomes 3 Granddaughters In 3 Days

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) -- Mike Benda of St. Cloud will have no excuse if he forgets a birthday.
Mike, 54, and his wife Joan, welcomed three new granddaughters this month in the span of three days -- all born to three different daughters.

Mike's oldest daughter gave birth March 14. His younger, identical twin daughters then each gave birth on March 15 and 16, respectively. All mothers and babies are healthy.
The three baby girls join four other grandchildren to the Benda family. Mike said he knows he'll be busy.
"We've been thinking, 'Geez, what's it going to be like when we get (to) Christmas?'" said Mike. "There's seven grandkids, there's like four dogs, a cat."
The Benda's knew they would have three grandchildren with birthdays relatively close, but had no idea this close. The oldest daughter was late and had to be induced. One of their twin daughters gave birth three weeks early.
