'Sparky The Sea Lion' Takes Holy Angels Over Shakopee
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Last week "Sparky the Sea Lion," our high school football prognosticator from the Como Zoo, made it 0-for-2 in picking games.
Friday night she takes on a tough task with two undefeated teams as Shakopee faces Holy Angels in the Missota Conference, but the "Spark Plug" has no fear.
The Sparkster hasn't lost her swagger. She's still confident we're told, taking even more time for video study this week. Last week she took Hopkins over Edina, but the Hornets won that match-up. Maybe she wasn't weighing that it was the Hornet's homecoming and the emotion factor was not part of her equation.
But this week it's two unbeatens and "Sparky the Sea Lion" again did not hesitate. She went with Holy Angels to top the Sabers with the confidence of a veteran sea lion. Tune into WCCO-TV's High School Sports Rally at 10:20 p.m. Friday to see if she made right choice.
