South St. Paul Cleans Up After Storm
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Residents and city crews in South St. Paul are busy cutting down what's left of trees that were damaged by Tuesday morning's storm.
Nancy Andrews and her husband were cutting up a large tree that toppled in their front yard, and with a chainsaw, they were making progress.
"Neighbors have really pitched in," Andrews said. "They've been helping us clean since 5:30 this morning. I'm just glad everyone is okay."

North of Andrews' neighborhood at Lorraine Park, it looks like a hurricane came through. There are nearly a dozen downed trees and debris scattered throughout.
Latangie Gillespie was grilling there with her kids, not for fun, but because her power is out.
"We can't use our microwave, our stove -- why not bring out the grill?" Latangie said. "The park is torn up but hey, we're a community. Eventually we'll all come together and get it back right."
Down First Avenue South near Lorraine Park were several parked cars that were damaged after trees fell on them.
When the storm came through Tuesday morning, Wanda Grant had just finished her paper route. She says she was sitting in her truck watching the rainfall when she felt her pickup begin to move.
"I then saw the windshield start to crack on the passenger side," Grant said. "Just like that, I opened the door, jumped out. Then down came the tree, and I went into the street and lost my shoes."
She says the tree forced the cab to come apart. She spent the afternoon on the phone with her insurance company and feels lucky the tree didn't kill her.
"I think I have a guardian angel," Grant said. "Lucky is the right word."
Grant, like many, are not happy to hear another round of storms could be headed their way.
"I don't want any more wind," Grant said. "We've had enough."
