Sources: Fight Between Agent, Vikings Exec Will Not Impact AP's Future
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Sources tell WCCO that a recent argument between Adrian Peterson's agent and a top Vikings executive will not have an impact on the star's future with the team.
According to a report from Jason LaCanfora with CBS Sports, Peterson's agent got into a heated exchange with a member of the Vikings' front office last week at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. His agent, Ben Dogra, reportedly told Vikings officials that Peterson would never play in Minnesota again.
However, a Vikings source tells us that Peterson's agent, Ben Dogra, wanted to call some attention to AP's situation. But this episode was more of a negotiating tactic and won't be a major factor if the team brings Peterson back next season.
The Vikings own his rights until 2017. So if they don't cut him or trade him, Peterson will have to play in Minnesota or not at all.
