Shooting Injures 1 In N. Mpls, Police Seek Suspect

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man was injured and police are looking for a suspect after a shooting in north Minneapolis Saturday morning, according to police.

Authorities were called at about 9:40 a.m. to Roger's Market on the 2000 block of Glenwood Avenue, but they say it's not where the shooting happened. One man entered the market with a gunshot wound to his torso, said Sgt. Stephen McCarty.

"He had been shot somewhere else," McCarty said. "He was shot in his torso and transported to Hennepin County Medical Center."

McCarty also said the victim might have been dropped off at the market.

The victim was taken out of the market on a stretcher and transported to HCMC with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still searching for the suspect at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call Minneapolis Police.
