Teenager Killed In Shooting At Hmong Freedom Festival In St. Paul
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police say a teenager is dead after a shooting Sunday afternoon at a large festival in St. Paul.
The St. Paul Police Department says the shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. at the Hmong Freedom Festival in Como Regional Park.
The victim, a male in his late teens, suffered at least two gunshot wounds to his torso, and emergency crews brought him to Regions Hospital, where he died in surgery.
No arrests have been made, and police say they are interviewing several witnesses.

The Hmong Freedom Festival has been annual tradition in St. Paul for decades. Authorities estimated that nearly 40,000 people turned out for the event, which featured food, music and a soccer tournament.
"It's really unfortunate that one person, or a very small group of people, could ruin the event," said St. Paul police spokesperson Steve Linders.
He says that Sunday's fatal shooting was the city's seventh homicide this year.
