Sheriff: Monticello Video Game Store Robbed At Gunpoint
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are looking for a suspect after a man robbed a video game store in Monticello at gunpoint on Saturday.
The Wright County Sheriff's Office responded to the Monticello GameStop just before 10 p.m. Saturday on the 9200 block of Cedar Street. When authorities arrived, store employees told them the incident happened about a half hour prior. They were closing the store for the night when a man with a handgun and wearing blue jeans, dark colored tennis shoes, a gray zip-up jacket and a black ski mask.
Authorities said the suspect ordered the employees into the back of the store, took an undisclosed amount of money and property from the store before fleeing the sending. Sheriff's deputies searched the area, but couldn't find the suspect.
