(UPDATE: Following probationary period, Kyle Aske's conviction was downgraded to a gross misdemeanor in 2015.)
BIG LAKE, Minn. (WCCO) -- Police arrested a Plymouth man Monday for allegedly vandalizing a school, before calling police to report he was stuck inside the building.
Kyle Aske, 23, was arrested for burglary and booked into the Sherburne County Jail.
According to the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office, a man called the Sherburne County dispatch around 6:10 a.m. Monday telling authorities he was stranded inside Big Lake Middle School.
When officers arrived a short time later, they searched the school but could not find the man, who they identified as Aske.
Authorities said they believe Aske broke a window to get into the school. Surveillance cameras captured a man, who they believe to be Aske, causing about $2,000 worth of damage to the school.
