Sheriff: Man Arrested After Shooting At Wife In Buffalo
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 74-year-old man is in police custody after he apparently fired a gunshot at his wife during a domestic situation Sunday night northwest of the Twin Cities metro.
The Wright County Sheriff's Office received a call from a woman at about 7:27 p.m. on the 3300 block of Edmonson Avenue NE that her husband had just shot at her with a handgun. The woman told authorities she was not injured in the incident.
When authorities arrived, sheriff's deputies set up a perimeter around the home with assistance from the Minnesota State Patrol. Eventually, Roger Lloyd Freeberg surrendered to authorities. He was booked into the Wright County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder, second-degree assault and terroristic threats.
The Wright County Sheriff's Office said the incident is still under investigation.
