Sheriff: Dog Recovering After Shooting In Southern Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A dog is recovering after being shot in southern Minnesota on Tuesday and no arrests have been made in the incident, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said the incident happened Tuesday in Clarks Grove, which is north of Albert Lea not far from the Iowa border. The dog's owner called the sheriff's office after seeing it had been shot. Authorities said the dog had suffered a gunshot wound from a small-caliber BB gun.
A veterinarian treated the dog, which is now recovering at its home. Authorities said they questioned a man in the incident, but no arrests have been made.
The Freeborn County Sheriff's Office said it's looking for possible witnesses to the incident, which is under investigation.
