Sheriff: 1 Hurt, 1 Arrested In Stearns County Stabbing
MINNEAPPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 38-year-old man was injured and a 41-year-old man was arrested after a stabbing in central Minnesota early Tuesday morning, according to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities responded at about 1:35 a.m. to a domestic disturbance on the 400 block of Martin Avenue in the city of Belgrade, which is northwest of Paynesville. When an officer arrived, they discovered two men actively fighting in a residence. A 38-year-old man who lived at the residence suffered multiple stab wounds, one that struck a lung, and was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.
Bradley Michels, 41 of Belgrade, was arrested at the scene and booked into the Stearns County Jail on charges of first-degree assault and second-degree assault.
What led up to the incident is under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff's deputies were assisted at the scene by the Paynesville Police Department, Belgrade Fire Department, Brooten Ambulance and Paynesville Ambulance.
