Shakopee Student, 9, Finalist In Google Art Competition
SHAKOPEE (WCCO) -- Each year, Google dips into the artistic talents of kids around the U.S. One young student from Minnesota is a finalist in this year's competition.
The "Google Doodle" contest draws some 100,000 entries each year.
Nine-year-old Kathy Lee from Shakopee drew a Google logo titled, "Dinosaurs: Past, Present and Future." If you would like to see the drawing and help Lee win, click here. You have until midnight next Friday to vote.
Lee is a student at Red Oak Elementary School.
The winner in each category gets a $15,000 scholarship, a laptop, a design tablet and a trip to Google headquarters.
