Sever's Maze Provides Lots Of Corn-Filled Fun
SHAKOPEE, Minn. (WCCO) -- There's a definite nip in the air lately, and the signs of changing seasons mean it's also time to get lost in a maze of corn.
Along with apple picking and visits to pumpkin patches, autumn is when the largest corn maze in the country is open again -- Sever's Corn Maze in Shakopee.
The workers at Sever's Maze are currently pounding in the final stakes and making sure the tents are nice and tight.
This year's theme might have you exclaiming, "One small step for corn, one giant leap for corn mazes." The design of the maze is an outer space theme. There are planets, shooting stars and even a big space shuttle.
In all, the maze covers 12 acres, so be sure to grab a map.
If you successfully complete the maze, there is much more for you to do at Sever's. There are giant jumping pillows as well as the massive corn pool.
"It's a way for metro families to really keep in touch with their farming roots," said Nicola Peterson from Sever's. "We really want it to be a family activity and that's really our main goal."
Admission is $12. You can find a dollar-off coupon at their website.
