Semi Rollover, Multi-Car Crash Blocks Traffic On Hwy 212
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A rolled-over semi tanker is blocking traffic on both eastbound lanes of Highway 212 after a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon, the State Patrol says.
The crash happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. just east of Highway 101 near Eden Prairie. The semi tanker was empty at the time and only leaking water after the crash.
What happened in the crash -- which involved the semi, an Acura SUV and a freight-liner dump truck -- is not yet clear. However, there were injuries.
The semi driver, 50-year-old, Steven Schuette, of Lester Prairie, suffered minor injuries.
May Xiong, 40, of Fridley, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Xiong was driving the SUV.
Dale Jaworski, 50, of Henderson, was driving the dump truck. He suffered no apparent injuries, the State Patrol said.
The crash is under investigation.
