SD Man Sentenced For Bank Robberies In MN, ND
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A South Dakota man has been sentenced to nearly 16 years in prison for robbing banks Minnesota and North Dakota.
Forty-five-year-old William St. John, of Sisseton, pleaded guilty in December to robbing two Twin Cities banks and a Fargo bank in late 2011 and early 2012. He was sentenced in federal court in Minneapolis on Wednesday to 15 years and eight months in prison.
Authorities say St. John stole more than $11,000 from the three banks.
