SD Man Gets Jail For Driving Drunk, Hitting 3 Kids
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A Sioux Falls man who drove drunk and struck three boys riding bicycles has been sentenced to 180 days in jail.
Local media outlets report that 30-year-old Mark Davis was sentenced Monday to half a year in jail for driving under the influence and eight years of suspended prison time for vehicular battery. He also was ordered to pay $14,000 in restitution.
Davis hit three kids on their bikes back in May in Lincoln County. The children were treated for minor injuries.
Davis has two previous DUI's on his record.
Davis said the incident changed his life and he has quit drinking as a result.
