Santa Stops For Directions In Plymouth
PLYMOUTH, Minn. (WCCO) -- For one Twin Cities family, Santa Claus came a little ahead of schedule, but only because he'd lost his way and needed some directions.
Beth from Plymouth sent a photo was sent to WCCO-TV. She said they were all sitting in the family room watching "The Preacher's Wife" Sunday night, when Santa knocked at their door.
Beth said he was super nice to their son. The photo made it look like their son was definitely on Santa's "nice" list.
Odds that Santa will get lost today are considerably slimmer, though. The North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, will be tracking Santa. It's a tradition for the organization that stretches back to 1955.
It all started when they got phone calls from children wanting to know where he was, after an ad in a local newspaper mistakenly gave the center's number.
As technology has evolved, so has the way we keep tabs on the man in red. Now, there's even an app for iPhone, Android and Windows phone users.
