Sanders, Clinton Making A Stop In Minnesota Today
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are getting ready for a stop in Minnesota.
On Friday night, Sanders and Clinton are separately appearing at an annual Minnesota DFL fundraiser -- the Humphrey-Mondale dinner -- in St. Paul.
The event comes one day after Clinton and Sanders squared off in a debate, with each claiming to be the right choice to succeed President Obama.
Sanders also plans on attending a forum at Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis and a Minnesota Nurses Association event at the Minnesota Science Museum prior to the evening event.
Sanders has already started advertising on Minnesota airwaves. In the ads talks about creating a political revolution to transform the economy and a democracy that works for all of us, not just the powerful few.
Just Friday, Clinton started airing ads of her own, which talk about her experience and how she can make a difference for the American people.
The Minnesota caucus voting is March 1.
